About River of Life

In attending a new church it is not unreasonable to wonder what you might expect. These are some of the things which we hope you would find true about us:

• Made to feel like my presence counts
• Allowed to learn & move forward at my own pace
• They haven't forgotten what it is like to be new
• Peoples safety & dignity were safeguarded
• Didn't need to have my act together to be accepted & included
• Peoples eyes were on Jesus & not my shortcomings
• Every effort was made to ensure that the worship was personal & authentic
• A healing place for leaders
• Strong sense of focus & direction; they are going somewhere
• Community is more than a soundbite - they earnestly desire it
• They are far from perfect and readily admit it
• The leaders are respected yet without being put on pedestals

However, you may desire to make inquires on a deeper level than this. You may be asking, and rightly so, ‘What makes these people tick?’ There are some key questions which we welcome you to ask of us.

• What is the vision this church is working towards?
• What is the mission these people are hotly pursuing?
• What are the core values that make these people who they are?
• What cherished essential beliefs does this community hold in common?
• How do they structure themselves to accomplish their mission?
• What is the history of this church?
